5 Tips to Travel Like A Pro

1. Pack Smart, Pack Light

First things first—less is more!! Invest in a quality carry-on and pack versatile clothing that you can mix and match. Neutral colors and packable clothing will be your best friend. Rolling your clothes saves space and reduces wrinkles. Plus, you’ll save time at the airport (hello, no checked bags!!!).

2. Plan, but Stay Flexible

Have a rough itinerary, but leave room for spontaneity. Some of my best travel moments have come from unplanned detours. Whether it’s a local food market or a hidden beach, let your curiosity lead the way along a pre-planned road. .

3. Snacks!

Travel can disrupt your routine, but don’t forget to take care of yourself. Pack healthy snacks, stay hydrated, and find time to stretch or exercise. Your body (and mind) will thank you when you’re exploring all day! Pre-packing from home can also help avoid those ridiculous airport food surcharges.

4. Create a Packing List

Before each trip, make a detailed packing list tailored to your destination. This helps prevent overpacking and ensures you don’t forget essentials. Check items off as you go, and adjust the list for future travels based on what you actually used. I like to start by planning our outfits and then packing things you will always need (i.e. chargers, shoes, hairbrush, makeup, etc.)

5. Capture the Moment & Prioritize Experiences

While it’s great to take photos, don’t forget to put your camera down sometimes and simply enjoy the moment. Whether it’s watching the sunset or savoring a delicious meal, be present and soak it all in. Those memories will last longer than any photo! Sometimes the best memories come from the experience itself rather than the planning, souvenirs, and all the hassle.

P.S. Bonus points if you pick up a disposable camera for the trip :)

Most of all, savor the moment and just enjoy the journey! Travel is only as fun and euphoric as you make it!
